These days a simple search for “LaTeX youtube tutorial” will get you a large number of video tutorials on using LaTeX (and latex which is not what you want). Videos tend to be too slow for my taste so I have compiled a set of useful links to text tutorials and tools for LaTeX:
-
- A Nice LaTeX Tutorial
- Where it all begins? Donald Knuth’s paper introducing TeX (Not the best place to start using LaTeX though.)
- TeXstudio – a nice LaTeX integrated development environment (IDE)
- CTAN – Comprehensive TeX Archive Network
- MikTeX – A TeX distribution for Windows
- MacTeX – A TeX distribution for Macs
- A TeX distribution for linux is in your linux distribution’s repositories. How you install it depends on the distribution you use. I will leave that to you.
- Online LaTeX editors are available at https://www.overleaf.com and https://www.verbosus.com/index.html
- JabRef – Java based BibTeX reference organizer. It is OS independent. Linux users can find it in their linux repositories.
